3 Ask for a reading
One run reads your story for each spot: the words that point there, how strongly, how easily a careful look would show the item, and how to search it - plus what your story covers that the list does not. The page does the arithmetic and keeps re-ordering for free as you search.

How the arithmetic works
The reading scores each spot from your own words: 3 if your story puts the item there, 2 if your note says it usually lives there, 1 if you went to or used that spot after the sighting, 0 otherwise. "Somewhere not listed" starts at 10% and gains 10 for each place or step in your story that no spot covers (up to 50%). The rest is shared out in parts of score + 1.
Each spot also gets a look-ease: easy (a careful look finds it 90% of the time), fair (60%) or hard (30%). When you mark a spot searched, Bayes' rule lowers its chance by how likely that look was to show the item (a quick look counts as half), and every other spot - and "somewhere not listed" - rises to fill the gap. The order is the chance of finding it on the next careful look: chance now times look-ease, then the easier spot, then your own order.
Verdict, first match wins: widen the search when "somewhere not listed" holds 40% or more; go straight there when the best spot is at least twice as good a look as the runner-up; otherwise sweep the top three.
Stay safe: no climbing, no reaching into appliances or drains, and ask before you search anyone else's things or space. If a wallet, phone, ID or keys with your address may be lost outside, contact your bank, provider or the venue too, and never post your own details publicly. Chances are rough estimates from your story, not a promise.
